Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Manager – Design to lead our
design team and oversee end-to-end design development and cost estimation for
residential and commercial interior projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative vision, technical expertise in interior
design execution, and hands-on experience with modern design tools and modular systems.
This role requires a balance of design innovation, project management, and team leadership
to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions aligned with client expectations and market
trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design team, setting performance benchmarks and quality standards.
- Develop innovative and cost-effective design concepts aligning with client briefs.
- Translate client requirements into detailed layouts, 2D/3D drawings, and presentations.
- Ensure designs meet budgets, timelines, and exceed client expectations.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design consistency.
- Review 2D drawings, 3D visualizations, material selections, and BOQ.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and site execution teams for seamless delivery.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular design reviews and iterations.
- Train and mentor junior designers, fostering continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay updated with global trends, modular hardware (Hettich, Hafele, Blum), and sustainable materials.
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion.
- In-depth knowledge of modular hardware systems (Hettich, Hafele, Blum).
- Strong material knowledge: wood, laminates, veneers, acrylics, stone, MDF, and eco-friendly options.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and visualization skills.
- Project management & cost estimation expertise (resource planning, budgeting, vendor coordination).
- Leadership & conflict resolution abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design / Architecture / Furniture Technology or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in interior design / modular furniture / home décor.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial or team lead role.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
